HoneyBars are all natural. Only the freshest fruits and nuts are mixed with hot honey to give them a thin coating to hold the ingredients together and provide just the right sweetness.

All of the bars are free of additives, preservatives, sugar, cholesteral, and gluten. Only the Sweet & Salty bars contain kosher salt; the rest are salt free as well.

After inspecting their facilities we are confident they can deliver what they promise. Try their bars!

HoneyBar is one of only 26 companies in Ontario with Advantage Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification; an internationally recognized food safety system that is used to help ensure the manufacture of safe food products.

HoneyBars bear the MK Pareve insignia indicating their Kosher Pareve Certification. Being a Pareve food item, they contain no meat or dairy derivatives, have not been cooked or mixed with meat or dairy, nor come in contact with equipment that has processed meat or dairy foods.

In 1987, Frank Sardelis, a baker by trade, made the first HoneyBar.  This bar was based on a traditional treat made with sesame seeds, honey and sugar from his boyhood days in Greece. Instead of using sugar he sweetened the bar with only honey, creating a better and healthier bar - a HoneyBar!

Much has changed since 1987 when the bars were made in Sardelis kitchen, but the current owner's, Wayne Spalding and Helder Lopes, committment to produce high quality, all natural, safe snacks has not.

We had the privilege of taking a tour of their facilities - complete with lab coats, hair nets, beard nets.and strict instructions not to touch anything.  These guys take cleanliness VERY SERIOUSLY. We were impressed!  Here are the highlights.  

New ingredients are brought in every week to ensure only the freshest fruits, nuts and honey are used.

Each bar is scanned with state of the art x-ray equipment prior to shipping.
